Joburgers, gear up for an experiential motor show like no other as the Festival of Motoring, Africa’s premier motoring celebration, returns to the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit for three days of thrilling motor action from 28 to 30 August 2026. Here’s what you need to know.

Celebrate motoring excellence at the Festival of Motoring

Now hosting its ninth annual edition, the Festival of Motoring continues to unite leading automotive brands, industry leaders, and enthusiasts for a dynamic showcase of performance, design, and technology. Together with WesBank, the event aims to surpass previous achievements and showcase the very best the automotive industry has to offer.

This year, under the theme “Driven by Purpose, Defined by Legacy”, they are not simply opening their gates, they are inviting you into the next chapter of the industry’s story. With over 100 exhibitors and 22 premier automotive brands on board, it promises to be the most immersive Festival yet.

High-octane motoring zones

Kyalami will once again be transformed into a high-octane motoring playground for the 2026 Festival of Motoring.

Green zone

Located within the main pit building, the Green Zone is the undeniable epicentre of the Festival. This is where anticipation builds, engines ignite, and visitors step directly into the action.

Home to the signature Complimentary Track Drives, adrenaline-charged Hot Laps, the dynamic Automotive Exhibition, and the exclusive FoM VIP Hospitality Suite, the Green Zone blends access, prestige and participation.

Blue Zone

The Blue Zone celebrates capability beyond the circuit. Set against the off-road arena backdrop, this is where power meets terrain.

Visitors can experience complimentary 4×4 track drives, explore the dedicated 4×4 Exhibition, and unwind in a vibrant setting designed for comfort, connection and elevated viewing.

Yellow Zone

The energy intensifies in the Yellow Zone, the dedicated hub for thrill-seekers and automotive lifestyle enthusiasts. This dynamic space brings the action directly to the fans, featuring:

The Motorsport Village – anchored by the Sunbet ZX10 Master Cup (Superbikes) and the Vilaca Speed Challenge. Get closer to the action with 20 public pit doors offering complimentary track rides.

On-Demand Adrenaline – for those looking to push the limits, the Adventure Zone debuts premium drifting experiences and karting challenges. These professionally helmed thrills are available for purchase on-site.

The Heartbeat of Car Culture – step beyond the track into the ultimate lifestyle and customisation hub. This area features a premier “Show and Shine” spectacle with pristine collections from over five leading car clubs, alongside interactive displays from industry leaders like Autostyle Motorsport and Japan Auto.

Red Zone

Beyond the roar of the engines lies the rhythm of celebration. The Red Zone is the ultimate gathering space, blending vibrant flavours, community connection, and immersive interactive displays featuring a diverse Food Court designed, and an interactive hub where fans can reconnect.

This is the central space where stories are shared, energy is sustained, and the true voice of the motoring community comes alive.
