A new culinary guard at Flames restaurant
The Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff recently welcomed Chef Rudi Liebenberg as Executive Chef, overseeing all food and drink experiences at the hotel, such as Flames restaurant, banqueting and events, and upcoming new developments. Chef Rudi brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at Cape Town’s Belmond Mount Nelson and various hotels and resorts globally.
“I’m excited to work with the incredible produce and flavours of this region, and to create memorable dining experiences that celebrate South African cuisine while incorporating global influence,” says Chef Rudi. The direction will be partly executed by Chef de Cuisine Avuyile Fumba, whose cooking style pays homage to Africa’s flame-grilling traditions and the elevation of traditionally local ingredients while elevating them to new heights of refinement. Adding to this exciting new ensemble is Nathan Jacobs, who has joined the team as the Executive Pastry Chef.
