Two of the cinemas at Ster-Kinekor’s Fourways Mall complex have undergone a full-body makeover, reopening as Cine Prestige theatres offering the ultimate luxury ’business class’ version of the cinema experience. Movie lovers are invited to enjoy the new-look cinemas and experience the ultimate in business-class movie viewing. Here’s what you need to know.

What’s new in this luxury cinema revamp

This exclusive cinema format epitomises film-viewing heaven and pure luxury rolled into one.

“We are looking forward to welcoming all our movie lovers to our new-look Cine Prestige cinemas for the most luxurious big screen movie experience,” says Lynne Wylie, chief marketing officer of Ster-Kinekor.

When the doors open, guests can savour the premium cinema experience, where luxury meets the magic of the big screen, turning great moments into something even greater. And, of course, no movie is complete without the complementary catering options including popcorn, cold drink, slushie and sweets, to satisfy any hunger pangs.

The cinema is fitted with single and double red leather seats that are fully reclinable at the simple touch of a button, for full-on comfort to enjoy the movie experience. Each chair also has a snack tray neatly fitted into it to accommodate drinks and snacks.

“The best part is that all the catering options can be ordered and delivered directly to your seat, while you are enjoying all the action on the big screen from the comfort of your fully reclining seat, making Cine Prestige the go-to cinema to enjoy movies with a touch of luxury,” Wylie adds.

Films to catch this winter at the Cine Prestige theatres

As if the luxury cinema experience is not enough, the movie line-up in Cine Prestige for the coming weeks is a classy affair, with choices to satisfy all tastes and genres.

Swooping down to open one of the new theatres in the middle of July was James Gunn’s new action-packed Superman. If horror is more your thing, get your fill with the latest release in the iconic I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise.

From 25 July, the Fantastic Four join the party with the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. More horror and mystery hit the Cine Prestige screen when Weapons releases on 8 August, and there’s all action and drama with the release of Nobody 2 from 15 August.

Completing the August line-up is the 25 August release of the much-anticipated dark comedy, The Roses, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman.
