The Palazzo in Fourways has added an extra layer of class to the traditional concept of a high tea experience. Almost an institution at this stage, the high tea you’ll sit down to at the stunning Medeo restaurant—one of four epic restaurants in this five-star hotel—is unlike any other you’ll find in Joburg or beyond.

Settle into the super fancy surrounds, and prepare to indulge in a decadent mix of sweet and savoury treats like strawberry custard choux, gourmet quiches and pastries, and our personal fave—baked bittersweet dark chocolate tart with raspberry and cocao nibs. 

If you’re keen to up the ante you can also add a glass of bubbly to your afternoon tea experience. Each item could stand as a work of food art on its own, and looks so good it’s almost too pretty to eat… almost.

High tea experiences can be arranged for groups in the rose-garden setting of the hotel’s private Rosa venue.
