An exciting extension of the Run Your City Series events, the Joburg 10k Cityrun Virtual Edition is a way for runners and walkers from all corners of South Africa to unite virtually in a spirit of camaraderie, pride and celebration.
This is one of South Africa’s largest and most successful road races. It’s for elites and novices alike.
To add to the experience, entrants are able to download the Run Your City Series App prior to race day. The App brings the excitement of race day to runners, spectators, and fans by delivering real-time racing and results. Participants can track their progress on their actual route while showing their ‘virtual position’ on the Joburg 10K Cityrun event route.
Each entrant receives a race pack including Joburg 10k Cityrun Virtual Edition Event Tee; Joburg 10k Cityrun Virtual Edition participation medal; access to RYC series tracking app; race number and safety pins; Coca Cola 300ml bottle; and VAWTER 300ml Can – one of three flavours (optional).
Participants are welcome to use the hashtag #RunYourCity to showcase their pictures on social feeds on the day.
