The Human Rights Festival is on at Constitution Hill
This year marks 28 years of the South African Constitution. On 24 March from 7am to 12am; Constitution Hill will host a symbolic walk to commemorate constitutionalism. The walk, which follows a path around points of significance; encourages participants to demonstrate through carrying messaging or placards; walk and talk; and drumming for constitutionalism. The, We the People walk is a Symbolic 8 and 5 km walk that was launched in 2014; attracting over 4000 people in 2016.

Market, Live Music and Museum visits for the Creative Native Vintage Motor Show & Picnic
As part of International Museum Week, the James Hall Museum of Transport is running the Creative Native Vintage Motor Show and Picnic on Saturday, 23 March. This cultural event is a curated outdoor vintage motor show with private collections, artefacts, and memorabilia in a curated exhibition of both classic and vintage vehicles.
A vintage craft market, live music entertainment and, to keep up with the theme of the day, vintage food trucks will be selling food and refreshments to visitors. Visitors are welcome to take their picnic blankets, cushions, and chairs along and enjoy the activities of the day in a relaxed environment.

Jimmy Carr: Terribly Funny
British comedian, Jimmy Carr, brings his dry humour to South Africa. Jimmy is a household name in UK television, well known for hosting shows including ‘Big Fat Quiz of The Year’, presenting ‘Comedy Central’s Roast Battle UK’, and ‘Your Face or Mine’.
Carr has toured to over 40 different countries. His last tour, ‘Best of Ultimate Gold Greatest Hits’, sold over 480 000 tickets globally with current show, ‘Terribly Funny’, exceeding that figure by the end of 2022.
The tour continues into 2024 with some new shows in South Africa. As Jimmy’s PR takes pains to point out, the show contains jokes about all kinds of “terrible things”. Terrible things that might have affected you or people you know and love. But – as Jimmy says – they’re just jokes, they are not the terrible things. The show is not suitable for under 16s.

Switch off for this sound bath experience in Parktown North
Nuru, known for their mindfulness sessions and retreats, is hosting a Sound Bath experience on Thursday evening. The Rand Show returns for its latest instalment with lots more music, rollercoasters, crafts and fun for people of all ages to enjoy. The Rand Show has been a staple annual tradition in South Africa, inviting thousands to celebrate the Easter Weekend together at the show.
The event is great for the entire family, with something for everyone to enjoy. For the kids, there will be a Kids Hall, with its Candy Land theme and exciting activities. The adults can also have their share of fun at the Craft Area, where they can indulge in locally crafted drinks. There are also options to get hearts racing with the Adrenaline Zone.
