Ghost bus tours for mature and educated audiences interested in the science, history, and entertainment behind all things paranormal.
Based on the London Ghost Bus, The Mystery Ghost Bus started in the year 2001 at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown before operating countrywide. With an emphasis on this being a ‘tour’, this is more than a horror show, ghost train ride or theme park attraction.
A night on the bus, which can take a group of 20 people, offers pub stops, entry into haunted cemeteries, entry into a candle-lit dark room, props, electronic voice phenomenon, dowsing rods, recorded stories, scientific explanations of the paranormal, and personal testimonies all lead by illusionist, and celebrity paranormalist Mark Rose-Christie.
Picnic baskets with snacks are allowed and special rates at partnered B&B’s are available for anyone wanting to stay over to explore the town further the next day.
There is now also a Mystery Ghost Bus Jaunt where the public can use their own vehicles in convoy to follow the same route that the bus goes on. Participants are given a script with a few stories to read along the way until they get to certain stops where the host takes over.
Soon, friends and family will also be able to view videos online about the ghosts of South Africa on Mystery Ghost Bus’s Facebook page.
Bookings for tours are made by mailing Mark Rose-Christie directly.
