Aviation enthusiasts will be delighted to know that following a multi-year absence, the Rand Airshow is back at the historic Rand Airport. On Sunday, 30 August 2026, the glorious revival of this beloved aviation event brings rich aviation heritage and an exciting programme of world-class aerial displays.

What’s in store for the Rand Airshow’s monumental return
With one of South Africa’s most iconic aviation landmarks as the backdrop for this exciting return, visitors can prepare for a day of steeped with history and top aviation displays and experiences.
Known for its close-up viewing opportunities and distinctive airfield layout, the Rand Airshow offers spectators a unique perspective of the action both in the air and on the ground.
Expect flying displays featuring aerobatic aircraft, military and civilian aviation demonstrations, formation flying, helicopters, skydiving performances and a host of crowd-favourite aerial acts.
On the ground, visitors can enjoy static aircraft displays, aviation exhibitors, food and beverage vendors, family entertainment, children’s activities, hospitality experiences and a variety of interactive attractions designed to celebrate the spirit of aviation.
