The 2025 edition of the SoundsWild music festival is set to take place at Sognage on Saturday, 12 April. This electrifying open-air music festival brings together two powerhouse live acts for a sonic journey. UK’s multi-instrumentalist sensation Youngr will visit South Africa for another epic live performance alongside GoodLuck and a host of local bands. “Excited is an understatement!!! Youngr is a British one-man band known for his infectious energy, live looping skills, and genre-blending sound. Born Dario Darnell, he comes from a musical family—his father is Kid Creole of Kid Creole & The Coconuts—so it’s no surprise that rhythm runs in his veins.

What sets Youngr apart is his ability to build entire tracks live on stage, layering drums, synths, guitar, and vocals in real time. His performances are a spectacle—effortless yet electrifying. He fuses electronic beats with funk, pop, and dance elements, creating a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh.

He first shot to fame with his viral bootleg remix of Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap, which showcased a talent for reworking songs with a unique, live twist. But it was his original track Out of My System that truly put him on the map, racking up millions of streams and cementing his reputation as an artist to watch. Other standout hits include Monsters, ’93, and Superman, each packed with catchy hooks and irresistible grooves.

GoodLuck will lead the supporting acts for the festival with their high-energy shows that get crowds dancing. Blending dance, pop and tropical house, they create music that feels like summer all year round. Their sound is fresh, melodic and full of energy.

“Dario has been a good friend of ours for a few years now, in fact we are releasing our first Collab together this year!,” says Jules Harding, GoodLuck vocalist. “So this tour is very exciting for us to be a part of. As electronic musicians we both think totally outside the box. We are both on a mission to reimagine dance music in a way that has more feeling, more musicianship and more energy.
