TANG Sandton is celebrating Women’s Day with a fabulous fashion, champagne and food event in Johannesburg highlighted by their sensory-driven cuisine.
Get the friends and colleagues together and dine on a six-course Kaiseki menu, watch models parade a collection of playful yet sophisticated looks, and sip on bubbles from Moët & Chandon. We break down some of the experiences to look forward to.
Sensory six-course Kaiseki tasting menu and Moët cocktails
Guests are greeted with a complimentary glass of Moët champagne or Moët Cocktail on arrival. The iconic French label is also setting up a bar space where bubbles and cocktails are served throughout the event for your own account.
For brunch, Executive Chef Vixa Kalenga is crafting his signature Asian Fusion cuisine with a 6-course Kaiseki menu, Kaiseki is the pinnacle of Japanese dining and the Women’s Day menu starts with a Shiso Oyster, Komodo sushi and the newly launched Peking Duck Bao Bun, followed by Yakimono course (seabass), seasonal vegetables, and rice dish, and finally ends off with a show-stopping dessert.
Often considered to be the haute cuisine of Japan, Kaiseki traditionally consists of a set menu with six courses (though one can find variants with anywhere from six to 15 courses). Each course is defined by a particular cooking method.
