44 Stanley and Vinosity is introducing Wine Forty Four, a fresh new series of monthly wine tasting events in Johannesburg in partnership with Yoco. The first edition runs on Saturday, 3 August 2024 and shines a spotlight on independent women winemakers who are making waves in the local industry. Read on to find out more about the event.

The new event series is aimed at driving awareness and inclusivity in the local wine scene by platforming women winemakers who are making waves in the local industry. This will be your chance to taste and discover labels you may not have heard of before, chat with established and emerging talents about their winemaking process, brush up on your knowledge, and unwind in the beautiful and relaxed setting of 44 Stanley.
For those keen on dining, there are several restaurants and cafes at 44 Stanley where you can enjoy a meal or snack afterwards.
Wine Forty Four is one of many events that Yoco and 44 Stanley will be hosting for the rest of the year as part of a new partnership in a bid to bring more awareness and growth to small businesses.

Shop well-respected wines at the Vinosity concept store
Vinosity, meaning ‘the essence of wine’ or ‘what makes a wine a wine’, is a concept wine store at 44 Stanley founded by Harry Overvoorde in 2021, a stalwart in the South African wine industry since 2009.
At their store, you’ll find some of the greatest producers in the country together with up-and-coming labels that that are not readily available elsewhere. On the day of the event, wine lovers can also head to the store and explore more wine varietals to take home.
How to book your tickets
General tickets include entry to the event with a premium Riedel wine glass to keep, and unlimited wine tastings from 15 women winemakers or producers. All wines will be available to purchase for offsite drinking and enjoy by the glass at Wine Forty Four takeover at Saint Germain.
