In what is described as their most ambitious project yet, LEGO® South Africa has shipped a detailed up-scaled LEGO® Technic Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance build from Singapore to Mzansi, marking the largest life-size LEGO build ever brought into South Africa.
Starting November, the build will be landing in malls across South Africa, allowing the public to see it up close and personal, in all its detail. Here’s what you need to know.

The making of the LEGO® Technic Mercedes-AMG F1 car
The scaled-up LEGO® Technic Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance build took a team of expert builders eight hours to assemble and used a total of 192,937 LEGO bricks, resulting in a build weighing about 913 kilograms and measuring 5.1 metres in length and 2.2 metres in width.
The result is a breathtaking replica that mirrors the sleek aerodynamic lines, intricate details and striking presence of its real-world Mercedes-AMG counterpart, a true fusion of art, engineering and play.
