The Wedge Shopping Centre’s Summer Programme Features Community Initiatives and a New Festive Market

The Wedge Shopping Centre is bringing Joburgers a full lineup of community initiatives, market experiences and festive family fun this summer 2026.

Through a series of campaigns running from October through December, the centre continues its commitment to creating experiences that positively impact both shoppers and the wider community. See what’s in store.

Pink October

As part of its Pink October campaign, The Wedge Shopping Centre is rallying the community behind breast cancer awareness and support through a series of impactful activations and fundraising initiatives.

Following the illumination of its iconic pink ribbon installation on 1 October 2026, the centre has partnered with Project Flamingo to help improve access to equitable breast cancer care for women across South Africa.

Shoppers can show their support by purchasing a limited-edition “Make Room for Her” tote bag throughout October, with a portion of proceeds donated directly to Project Flamingo’s life-saving programmes.

Together with its tenants and visitors, The Wedge is transforming everyday shopping into an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the fight against breast cancer.

More ways to support the Pink October campaign

Adding to the campaign, YIKO Asian Eatery launches its limited-edition Pink Blossom Roll, with a portion of every sale contributing towards breast cancer awareness initiatives.

F45 Training Morningside also bring some playful energy to the studio throughout October. Small pink flamingos will be hidden around the studio inviting members to find them and take a chance at drawing from a hat. It’s a fun way to get involved, spread the pink spirit and support the cause.

Meanwhile, Sorbet at The Wedge encourages shoppers to show their support through its “Paint The Wedge Pink” campaign. Inspired by the global Painted Pink movement, shoppers are invited to book a pink manicure, snap a photo at The Wedge Pink October selfie frame and help spark important conversations about breast cancer awareness. Plus, if you pop in and paint your nails pink, you get 10% off your pink manicures!

Morningside Dispensary is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month with their limited-edition “Pink Radiance & Recovery” IV Drip. Formulated to boost energy, enhance skin glow, and support immune resilience, this specialized treatment features high-dose Vitamin C, Vitamin B-Complex, Vitamin B12, Magnesium, Zinc, and a post-drip Glutathione push priced at R999.

A portion of the proceeds from every Pink Drip administered during October will be donated directly to a Breast Cancer Foundation to support awareness, early detection and patient care. Rejuvenate your wellness while making a meaningful impact this month.
