The Rooi Fijnwyn Food & Wine Market is a two-day wine celebration that features wines from over 35 wine farms from across South Africa. Monaghan Farm once again welcomes wine lovers for an afternoon of wine, seasonal food, and live music under the winter sky and in a picturesque countryside setting.
The Monaghan Farm Winter Wine festival takes place at The Other Side Country restaurant located on the premises, and features over 100 local and international wines. Guests can explore a selection of reds, whites, rosés, and sparkling wines in a relaxed farm – to – table setting.

Cullinan Winter Wine Festival
Annually in July
Top wine estates are set to showcase their award-winning wines at this year’s Cullinan Winter Wine Festival.
Red wines, including award-winning Pinotage, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, Bordeaux blends, not to mention the fortified wines such as Port, Sherry, Muscadel and Hanepoot. For the non-wine drinkers, there are also a few craft distillers and brewers. Ticket holders receive a stemless wine glass and unlimited tastings throughout the event.
In addition to the libations, there are food stalls, deli stalls and general stalls within the market area, and live entertainment by various artists completes the show.
Guests can purchase various tickets to elevate their experience. There is the general adult ticket that is all-inclusive, and then a food and wine pairing ticket where guests can join Beyerskloof and Cullinan Premier Hotel for a food and wine pairing after the festival.

The Winter Ground Cru Event has rebranded to “The Sip and Savour”, and the event brings together wine lovers, foodies, and music enthusiasts for a great winter day.

The Van Gaalen Cheese Farm in Hartbeespoort transforms into a cheese-and-wine land for the 2026 edition of their Wine on Route social hiking event on 8 and 9 August 2026. The experience is a family-friendly 4km hike that brings together natural scenery and the cheesery’s selection of their best produce, paired with over 50 top South African wines. Live music is also planned for the event.
All ticketholders receive a goodie bag with their wine glass, a day permit for the trails, water, a light snack, a pen, and information on the wines on offer.
Throughout the hike, guests are welcomed by a different wine estate approximately every 500m of the way, and they get to try a wine and cheese pairing with Van Gaalen’s very own handmade cheese. Hikers who reach the halfway point get a light snack to refuel as a bonus.

An Idiot’s Guide To Wine
An Idiot’s Guide to Wine is an Australian 70-minute sensation that blends comedy with wine tasting.
The event features a professional stand-up comedy show paired with a curated tasting of six completely different wines from around the globe. The show is written by Merrick Watts, who holds a WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 3 qualification, which means that guests receive a real knowledge about wine while enjoying the comedy show.
The ticket provides access to the stand-up show and to all six distinct wine samples. There are non-alcoholic alternatives available for an additional fee.

BenVino Wine Festival

Val di Terra Fine Wines and Spirits hosts the BenVino Wine Festival by offering tastings of some of the finest wines in South Africa.
Enjoy a day filled with sipping, sampling, and festive vibes featuring a complimentary wine glass with unlimited tastings of over 150 wines from 18 premium farms.

The Milk Bar Winter Wine Festival returns for another edition, featuring over 100 local and international wine estates to taste, discover, and explore, while soaking in the crisp winter sun.
