Award-winning South African ventriloquist, Conrad Koch, rallies his puppet squad for Chester’s Got Talent, a talent show like nothing audiences have ever seen before.
From 30 September to 4 October 2026, the Pieter Toerien Theatre at Montecasino sets the stage for six interactive feel-good nights out for the whole family, where the audience gets to be the judge.

Fresh from a Comic’s Choice Award for Innovation in Comedy, a Gold Ovation Award at the 2026 National Arts Festival for Chester’s Got Talent, and a recent nomination for the Impact Creator Award at the Content Creator Awards, Conrad Koch is finally bringing his latest triumph to the city of gold.
At the centre of Chester’s Got Talent is a live puppet talent competition where audiences get to decide what they think of the highly opinionated Chester Missing and his fellow puppet performers. React, judge and have your say as each puppet takes to the stage.
South Africa’s most outspoken puppet has never been particularly good at following instructions, and he certainly isn’t about to start now. Joining Chester is a cast of hilariously deranged dummies, including:
- Gunter the German Mosquito, showing off his questionable xylophone skills
- Hilton the Ostrich, a dramatic bird attempting to make his mark as a singer
- DJ Hoodie, the puppet who actually DJs
- Mr Dixon, a high school teacher who thinks he can outdo Conrad at ventriloquism
- Paul die Krokodil
Audiences should also look out for a few unexpected surprises, including human participants pulled straight from the crowd!
