Rockstar Jack White Performs First-Ever Joburg Show this December

One of the most influential and distinctive rock artists of the new millennium, Jack White of The White Stripes, makes his South African debut with a first-time performance in Joburg, brought to you by BreakOut Events.

The rock star kicks off the festive season with a show for the books on 11 December 2026 at The Old Park Station.

As guitarist and lead vocalist of the Grammy-winning rock duo The White Stripes, Jack White’s group became synonymous with a laid-back, blues-infused approach to rock. While the band officially disbanded in 2011, during their tenure, they released songs like ‘Seven Nation Army’ that became one of the most recognisable rock songs of the 2000s.

Beyond The White Stripes, he expanded his musical universe through The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather and an acclaimed solo career, releasing a series of critically acclaimed albums including Blunderbuss, Lazaretto, Boarding House Reach, Fear of the Dawn, Entering Heaven Alive and No Name.

His latest studio album, Frozen Charlotte, demonstrates his growth as an artist and his ability to remain
creatively unpredictable.

Throughout the years, White’s live performances have become renowned for their spontaneity, intensity and musicianship, with setlists spanning his solo career as well as celebrated work with The White Stripes, The
Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.

As such, with one show in Joburg and one in Cape Town, audiences can look forward to a riveting and intense performance from an artist who consistently operates outside conventional boundaries.
