Ground Cru Summer Edition Brings a Taste of Cape Wine Elegance to Muldersdrift

The Ground Cru Summer Edition returns to Muldersdrift on 8 and 9 February 2025 for another fab food and wine celebration. Wine lovers can look forward to two sun-drenched days filled with Western Cape wine farm favourites, exquisite food and gorgeous views of the beautiful landscape at Ground the Venue.

What to expect from the Ground Cru Summer Edition

For two days, wine lovers, foodies, and music enthusiasts alike get to sip on hand-selected wines from top vineyards, indulge in gourmet bites, and enjoy live music that perfectly complements the sunny atmosphere. Each guest receives a branded glass and access to tastings at each wine stand.

Parents, feel free to bring the kids along as well while you sip. There are tons of opportunities for entertainment with pony rides, jumping castles and face painting activities to keep the young ones busy.

Which participating wine farms can you look forward to at Ground Cru?

Expect to see and taste incredible wines from Franschhoek wineries including Mont Rochelle, Boschendal, Backsberg, and Bellingham.

The selection of wines from Stellenbosch wineries is wide and varied, with the inclusion of Saxenburg, Quoin Rock, Villiera Wines, Zorgvliet Wines, and Jordan Wines.

Also set to make an appearance are Bombas Wines, Journey’s End, Fryer’s Cove Bamboes Bay, Perdeberg, Strandveld Vineyards, Da Luca, Doos., Vergelegen, Creation Wines, Cape Point Vineyards, Babylonstoren, Bee Conscious Organic Wines, and Aerotude.

Elevate the experience with the Boujee Boschendal package

Guests of the Ground Cru wine tasting event can take their experience up a notch with the Boujee Boschendal package. The package can accommodate tables of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 and offers shaded private space for each private table, a grazing platter, a private bar and waiter service, one bottle of Boschendal Bubbles per 4 guests, relaxed and comfortable seating, and access to all other areas and wine tastings.

The grazing platter features truffle popcorn on arrival, along with a simply delightful selection of petite baguettes, brie and fig tartlets, ratatouille and goat’s cheese croquettes, crispy potato salad, braised leek pâté, mushroom vol-au-vents, marinated olives, confit tomatoes, various speciality cheese, seasonal fruit, and crème bruleé and pistachio cruffins.
