The Haunted Forest ®

The Haunted Forest® is a one-of-a-kind Halloween-themed outdoor event.

Visitors walk through a forest with eerie fog, strange sights, multiple life-size scenes, and scare actors accompanied by the spine-chilling screams from the Haunted House. The event also consists of a main festival site with a big screen featuring films to draw the horror from the tips of visitors’ toes out through the little hairs behind their necks.

The festival features a bar and picnic area, accompanied by a vendor and food village with tastes for every palate. For the young ones, there is a Trick & Treat in the forest that takes place before the forest walk.

For an added fee, visitors can also tour a Haunted House at the event, play games, experience the Fun Fair, and visit the Hansel & Gretel House. There are costume prizes up for grabs for the Most Horrific Family and the Freakiest Couple.

Emerald Resort & Casino’s Animal World Trick or Treat Halloween

The gates to Animal World’s mysterious Family Manor are opening for one unforgettable night in October.

Strange creatures have escaped, Wednesday has hidden clues, and Thing needs your help to complete a series of spooktacular challenges.

Whether you are brave enough to follow Wednesday, clever enough to solve the animal mysteries or simply ready for an evening of fun, the Family Trick-or-Treat Adventure has something waiting around every corner.

Children can collect a Trick-or-Treat Passport and visit treat stations throughout the Zoo, tackle themed games and challenges, brave the Kids’ Spooky House, get creative with craft activities and enjoy the playground.

The entertainment continues with a magic show, character meet-and-greets, music and a photo booth, with photographs available to purchase. Guests aged 10 and older can venture into the Forbidden Forest: The Aftermath.

Ramfest’s Halloween edition lands in Pretoria with international headliners alongside South African rock and metal mainstays.

The Kind Earth Market is presumably one of Johannesburg’s best-voted markets featuring all the most popular vegan stalls in the city.

With over 80 stalls on show, the market promises to deliver its usual vegan food fare and craft extravaganza. Visitors can expect to find vegan and hippie fare such as creamy cheeses, decadent desserts, fast food and tie-dyed everything. There is also live entertainment on the day to keep visitors enthused between mouthfuls of delicious, healthy food.

Over the years, the SAPRA Halloween celebration has become one of the highlights of the Saxonwold & Parkwood calendar, welcoming hundreds of costumed guests for an afternoon filled with treats and community.

The celebration welcomes residents of the streets in Saxonwold and Parkwood to join the fun by setting up a Halloween stand along Blandford and Wells Roads with either spooky games, themed décor, or bowls of sweets. It’s more than just a fun afternoon out, it’s also a chance to invest back into the neighbourhood as all the funds raised from the event go directly into the upliftment and enhancement of Fearnhead Park.

This Haunted House experience hosted by 4 Youth is a festival built for the youth, by the youth, and with a twilight twist.

Expect all the signatures. 4 Experience Zones (entertainment, play, enjoy, and chill) infused with a little more mystery, a little more thrill, and a lot more after-hours magic. DJ Kent also headlines the event.
