The Haunted Forest ®
The Haunted Forest® is a one-of-a-kind Halloween-themed outdoor event.
Visitors walk through a forest, with eerie fog, strange sights, multiple life-size scenes, and scare actors accompanied by the spine-chilling screams from the Haunted House. The event also consists of a main festival site with a big screen featuring films to draw the horror from the tips of visitors’ toes out through the little hairs behind their necks.
The festival features a bar and picnic area, accompanied by a vendor and food village with tastes for every palate. For the young ones, there is a Trick & Treat in the forest that takes place before the forest walk.
For an added fee, visitors can also tour a Haunted House at the event, play games, experience the Fun Fair, and visit the Hansel & Gretel House. There are costume prizes up for grabs for the Most Horrific Family and the Freakiest Couple.

Knit-In Cinema Presents: Practical Magic (1998)
The Bioscope’s Knit-In Cinema is an opportunity to catch classic movies with the lights on, so you can knit, sew crochet and craft while the film is on.
The October movie pick is a Halloween classic, Practical Magic (1998). Two witch sisters, raised by their eccentric aunts in a small town, face closed-minded prejudice and a curse which threatens to prevent them ever finding lasting love.
Work on your own projects or take part in a blanket drive by knitting squares that will be assembled into blankets for mothers in underprivileged parts of Johannesburg. This is all in support of The Baby Box Project. Instructions for these will be given before the film. Please bring your own sewing materials with you.

Ramfest x Halloween
Ramfest’s Halloween edition lands in Pretoria with international headliners alongside South African rock and metal mainstays.

Over the years, the SAPRA Halloween celebration has become one of the highlights of the Saxonwold & Parkwood calendar, welcoming hundreds of costumed guests for an afternoon filled with treats and community.
The celebration welcomes residents of the streets in Saxonwold and Parkwood to join the fun by setting up a Halloween stand along Blandford and Wells Roads with either spooky games, themed décor, or bowls of sweets.
