DStv Delicious International Festival

The DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival is a first-of-its-kind showcase of the country’s finest creatives in food, music, art, and fashion alongside some of the most sought-after international talent. The festival continues to unite people of all cultures and backgrounds through their mutual enjoyment of music and food. 

In 2024, the festival honours 30 years of Creative Freedom, celebrating South Africa’s historic milestone through a fusion of creativity and culture. Headlining this year are international sensation and multi-hyphenate star, Janet Jackson and neo-soul and RnB legend, Jill Scott.

Supporting local artists include Thandiswa Mazwai, Boom Shaka, Cassper Nyovest, Soweto Gospel Choir, Jesse Clegg, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Zolani Mahola and many more!

Standard Bank Joy of Jazz

Annually in September

The Standard Bank Joy of Festival is one of Africa’s premier jazz festivals and features an exciting line-up of headlining jazz stars from across the world. Over two fun-filled days, across five stages, jazz lovers are reintroduced to the music, while novices discover the magic of jazz. 

In the past, the festival has welcomed artists such as Grammy Award winner, pianist and composer Robert Glasper, who shared the stage with some of the biggest names in South African jazz. In 2024, the event welcomes Chris Botti (US), Matthew Halsall (UK), Kenny Banks Jr. (US), local talents, Feya Faku, Mandisi Dyantyis, Darren English, Maleh, Micasa, Vusi Nova, and so many more.

Attendees can also look forward to multi-award-winners from Standard Bank Young Artist for Jazz award alumnus, which is another highlight of the annual show.

The annual Spring Fiesta takes place in Ekurhuleni in the beginning of October each year. With over a decade in the making, this is one of the most iconic day and night music festivals in Johannesburg offering a celebration of all things local, music, culture and togetherness.

The festival showcases top-tier South African talent with a diverse range of artists and DJs across different music genres. From House, Hip hop, Piano, Deep House to AfroTech – all performing live across the six themed stages.

The main stage lineup for 2024 includes Mi Casa, Cassper Nyovest, DJ Kent, Blxckie, DJ Tira, KO, Nasty C and more, with Pearl Thusi and iZane Gulston as MCs for the day.

In The City is a one-day concert hosted by the organisers of the Cape Town Rocking the Daisies festival in Johannesburg, featuring some of the festival’s top headliners.  

In The City gives music-lovers in Gauteng an opportunity to get in on the Daisies action themselves, promising an unforgettable evening of soulful melodies and dynamic performances, set against the backdrop of Johannesburg’s vibrant cultural scene. The 2024 show is headlined by international sensation, Snoh Aalegra, who is supported by Grammy Nominated Afrobeat star Ayra Starr.

Guests can also opt for a VIP Experience, where they can view the concert from a raised viewing deck, receive private catering, use a private bar and have access to private facilities all night.

The annual Hennessy Back To The City Festival presents artists representing the pinnacle of artistic expression from South Africa and abroad.

This unique annual youth event has grown into the largest public display of both commercial and underground Hip Hop in Africa. The festival presents a day of live music, street art, break-dancing, art installation, skateboarding, film, street fashion, gaming, speakers and panel discussions.

The 2024 instalment is headlined by American rapper, Benny the Butcher, who is supported by local artists Nasty C, Blxckie, Maglera Doe Boy, Emtee, Nadia Nakai, Priddy Ugly, and more.

Hey Neighbour Festival is a three-day global music fest on African soil, uniting international & local artists. The festival’s line-up in its inaugural concert in 2023 included global hip-hop sensation, 17-time Grammy Award winner, and lyrical genius Kendrick Lamar.

Lamar joined the dynamic line-up alongside Swedish House Mafia, H.E.R., Khalid, and The Chainsmokers, in delivering a mind-blowing performance at one of Africa’s most eagerly anticipated music festivals.
