As part of the Goethe-Institut commissioned project GamesConnect AFRICA, A MAZE., the Goethe-Institut, and Leti Arts are pleased to announce the open call for PLAYFUL OBSCURA – Arthouse Games Residency. This three-week artist residency will take place 13 April to 1 May 2026 in Accra, Ghana. The programme is designed to support artists working in the field of arthouse games and playful media.

About the Playful Obscura Residency
Playful Obscura recognises the growing artistic relevance of playful media and arthouse games—particularly within the rapidly evolving African creative and digital arts landscape. The residency aims to support innovative, experimental practices that push the boundaries of traditional art forms, while highlighting the dynamic relationship between art, technology, and interactive experiences.
Two artists will be hosted simultaneously.
