If you’re after a sophisticated brunch or dinner spot, head out to Reign Restaurant at Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park. It’s just straight fire at Reign Restaurant – the chef’s team under the direction of Themba Bawuti cooks a selection of steak cuts and seafood purely with charcoal, smoke and flames with the Japanese Robata grilling concept.

So naturally, you’d be remiss not to order the fish of the day grilled with fennel and fresh herbs and served to share. Further on the menu, the restaurant’s meticulously cooked methods elevate the most simple of ingredients for their small plate offering – you can;t go wrong with the stuffed aubergine, curry and coconut Dal. Other inventive dishes include raw and cured dishes such as the zesty ceviche rounded out by a lunch menu—served up just as slick as the fit-out of the moody diner.
