SunUp Events host monthly sober morning dance parties in Joburg, helping participants start their days off right.

Rooted in the heart of Johannesburg, they blend mindful yoga and upbeat dance to create events that spark joy and promote a healthy, active lifestyle. Expect a DJ to set the vibe, a refreshing yoga stretch session, breathwork and great company.

Each SunUp session features high energy and movement, so participants are encouraged to dress comfortably, bring a yoga mat (or purchase a ticket including mat rental) and have water with them.

SunUp and Waterfall City Park Presents: Ubuntu in Motion

This special Africa Day edition of SunUp at Waterfall City Park celebrates movement, music, connection and the spirit of Ubuntu.

Set against the backdrop of one of Joburg’s most beautiful outdoor spaces, Ubuntu in Motion is a curated morning experience designed to awaken the body, uplift the spirit, and bring people together through joyful movement.

Participants begin with a grounding yoga session led by Yoga with Nandi, followed by a high-energy twerk class hosted by Sispho Mbombo, Si.Nior, with uplifting beats by DJ JHB Thabi carrying you through the morning.

The programme is broken down as follows:

8.30am to 8.45am – Arrival & Coffee Social
8.45am to 9.45am – Yoga with Yoga with Nandi
9.45am to 9.50am – Refresh & Reset
9.50am to 10.20am – Twerk Session with Sispho Mbombo, Si.Nior
10.20am to 10.30am – Cool Down & Closing

Rainbow Morning is all about colour, movement, and feel-good connection. Come dressed bold, bring your sparkle, and join a morning designed to lift your mood and warm you from the inside out.

Expect a high-energy warm-up and Zumba session, a grounding yoga flow and a vibrant community coming together in full colour.

The programme is broken down as follows:

9.20am to 10am – Warm-Up & Zumba Session
10am to 10.10am – Hydrate & Reset
10.10am to 11am – Yoga: Grounded Joy
