The Garden Route Wine Festival is a premier wine-tasting event in Gauteng, bringing the varietal flavours of the Cape’s renowned Garden Route to Magaliesburg. Following a successful wine festival in May of 2025, the stunning Imbabali Retreat & Venue is hosting another afternoon designed for true wine lovers on Saturday, 8 November 2025. Here’s what you need to know.

What to expect from this summer edition of The Garden Route Wine Festival
Once again, the Imbabali Retreat & Venue becomes a haven for exploring a handpicked selection of 50-70 of South Africa’s finest wines, featuring a diverse range of top wine farms.
Walk through the festival’s garden-inspired layout, just an hour’s drive from the bustling cities of Johannesburg and Pretoria and enjoy a tranquil retreat with stunning views and fresh air. Fantastic live music sets the vibe as you sip and savour, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable day out.
Unlike overcrowded city wine events, The Garden Route Wine Festival is designed to be relaxed, immersive, and focused on quality wines.

Delicacies and bites to pair with your wines
The Garden Route Wine Festival invites guests to purchase some delightful bites at an extra cost to be paired with their favourite wines and bubblies.
Indulge in fresh, flavourful oysters paired perfectly with crisp, chilled champagne. Plus, a Sip & Taste Cheese Tray Experience can be pre-ordered to complement your favourite wines.
