The Luxurious Marble Circus Brings A Fantastical Food Festival to Johannesburg

The Luxurius Marble Circus is a brand new out-of-the-ordinary food and music festival coming to Johannesburg on 26 and 27 October 2024. And tickets are already selling fast for this buzzy event taking place at Ground The Venue in Muldersdrift.

The Luxurious Marble Circus brings together some of the most creative and disruptive minds in South Africa’s dining scene. This two-day event promises a fine dining set against an elaborate outdoor experience with spectacular theatrics and gorgeous views.

Haute eats from the biggest names in South African dining

Expect a U-turn from traditional food festivals as The Luxurious Marble Circus brings a more glam and luxe touch through fine food and drink.

The team have curated an array of special food and drink experiences for three different dining dimensions. Central to the event is the Feature Bar where a circus carousel is playfully contrasted with the famously zoomorphic signature of Zioux.

Playground in the Field is a fancy affair that connects all spaces, and tickets are priced at R950pp. Diners can explore the Pantry-inspired Tasting Station by esteemed chefs such as Marble co-founder David Higgs, The Lazy Makoti, Katsuhiko Miyamoto and Trevor Chikaura.

The popular duo of Chef David Higgs and J-Something (from Artistry restaurant, and Mi Casa) are reunited for The Royal Lounge where a wonderful selection of wood-fired sharing plates are inspired by Saint in Sandton. Diners can book tickets for the experience per table of 4 or more starting at R2850.

For a fine-dining spectacular, The Grand Dining Room brings a rare collaboration between Chef David and Reuben Riffel, one of the most respected names in South Africa’s culinary circles. On the cards are dishes highlighted by peak extravagance while Champagne, vintage wines and imported spirits can be ordered from the bar. Tickets to The Grand Dining Room are sold per table starting from R3950 for a 4-seater.

A troupe of weird, wonderful and enthralling performers will enchant guests throughout the day as they indulge in top-tier hospitality, carousel bars and delectable dining.

Each area of The Luxurious Marble Circus offers guests a unique experience and lively luncheon within the different offerings of the Marble Group restaurants. The stage will come to life after dark with live performances to surprise and delight, ranging from circus acts to intimate gigs from award-winning talent.
