Basketball Africa League playoffs and finals
The Basketball Africa League (BAL) will be hosting the epic fifth season’s Playoffs and Finals at SunBet Arena this June.
After a gruelling series of games that featured some of the top-tier talent on the continent, the excitement and anticipation will culminate right here in Mzansi, with a grueling qualifier round featuring Made by Basketball (MBB) who represent South Africa in their BAL debut and fighting for their shot at a playoff and possible championship opportunity.
The African teams that already qualify for the the BAL Playoffs and Finals are Al-Ittihad (Egypt, 6-0), Rivers Hoopers (Nigeria, 4-2), US Monastir (Tunisia, 4-2), Petro de Luanda (Angola, 3-3), and Kriol Star (Cape Verde, 3-3).

It’s that special time of year when the orchard comes alive for the Pecan Harvest Festval running at the Nut and Owl Farm in Skeerpoort. Capital Craft Beer Festival
The 11th annual Capital Craft Beer Festival is taking place at the beautiful green surrounds of the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens. On offer are South African beers, and big-name artists, coupled with great food and entertainment.

Weight group exhibition at The Viewing Room
In Weight, artists are encouraged to draw from personal experience or observation: from the weight a mother carries in nurturing a child, to the physical aspirations of a bodybuilder seeking strength; from the quiet resilience of a street vendor providing for their family, to the complex pressures of home, community, religion, and identity. Even the heaviness of grief has its own weight.
This exhibition aims to create a space where these stories can be deeply felt—a space that moves between heaviness and release, introspection and connection. A space where we transition between worlds, and where the eye lingers on both the appearance of health and the silent burdens of contentment.
