Take in a Heritage Day Concert presented by the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra
The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO) presents ‘iNkosi uShaka: Umbono, Isizwe, Isiphetho‘ (‘King Shaka: A Vision, A Nation, A Destiny’), a special Heritage Day concert. The work is a composition by Canadian composer, Warren Bessey and centres the mighty warrior-king, Shaka kaSenzangakhona whilst also embracing a coterie of other historic figures.
The concert is conducted by Daniel Boico and features soloists, Andile Dlamini (bass-baritone), Siphokazi Nonzwakazi Maphumulo (soprano), and Rheinaldt Tshepo Moagi (tenor).
